SSA Logo Alteration Guidelines
SSA affiliate groups and regional networks, upon submission of the SSA Name Use Agreement, are allowed to customize the SSA logo to represent their specific campus group. Any alterations, customizations, inclusions and other projects involving the SSA logo must follow these guidelines.
TL;DR - Check your logo before you wreck our logo!
- The logo must retain its original design, words, font, shape and proportions. Rotating the logo or giving it a third dimension are acceptable but should be sure to retain the appropriate proportions. Stretching or skewing the logo is unacceptable in any case.
Acceptable Unacceptable - Alternate colors may be swapped out for the white and back in the logo; however, the darker of the two colors must replace the black and the lighter of the two replace the white. No more than two colors may be used.

Acceptable Unacceptable - On occasion, the white areas of the logo may be made transparent. However, this will only be done over a solid color or subtle background. Any background that distracts from the logo, contains sharp contrasts, or interferes with the legibility of the words is unacceptable.
Acceptable Unacceptable - While additional material may be added to the SSA logo, no more than 15% of the logo shall be covered in the final product.
Acceptable Unacceptable - Placing a drop shadow behind the entire logo is acceptable; however, placing a drop shadow behind the letters of the logo is unacceptable.
Acceptable Unacceptable - It is acceptable to omit the side gradients in the logo, but unacceptable to alter them in any other way.
Acceptable Unacceptable - Do not attempt to re-create the SSA logo. We'll gladly give you a copy upon request. Contact our staff or visit http://www.secularstudents.org/node/2669 for the appropriate files.
