The Secular Student Alliance(SSA) is a completely independent organization that relies entirely on the support of atheists, agnostics, humanists and other freethinkers. In order to meet the needs of a dramatically expanding base of campus affiliates, the SSA incurs many costs. Typical expenditures:
The Secular Student Alliance is a democratic membership organization. Anyone, student or non-student, is welcome and encouraged to join. Members of the SSA are eligible to vote in elections for the Secular Student Alliance Board of Directors and changes to our bylaws. Additionally, all members are eligible to run for the Board of Directors. In addition to joining for the first time, you can also extend or renew an existing membership on this page. Just use the e-mail address associated with your existing membership in the e-mail field below. Because the Secular Student Alliance is a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit, all membership dues and donations are tax deductible in the U.S. Please read the SSA's Bylaws as they describe the terms of your membership.
