Troubles

I'm really interested in starting a club at my high school that is dedicated to freethought, humanism, and philosophy; I just sent a request for a group starting packet. I'm a strong advocate for secularism, reason, and freethought...however, I'm a polytheist or rather an agnostic polytheist. I'm not sure how well this goes with SSA as their worldview deems theism as less reasonable.. Thanks for your message! We're here to help. You've taken the first step in requesting a Group Starting Packet. If you don't want to wait for the snail mail, you can check out our Group Running Guide (which is included in the packet) online. . Once you receive and read these materials, and are able to gather a core of interested students, officially affiliate your new group with SSA. This will allow your group to take advantage of our speakers bureau, our project grants, and all of our other services. Using these services will help your group gain popularity and momentum.. As for the ideological concerns, the secular student alliance is supportive of diverse opinions and views.  I suggest that you take a look at our minimum statement , which we require all of our affiliate groups to comply with.  If you feel that this meshes with the group you'd like to start, we're happy to have you aboard. . Please contact Alison ; Senior Campus Organizer for any help along the way!
