2008 Best Service Award Application

Submitted by august on Wed, 2006-01-18 23:02.

Is your service the best?

Whereas SSA grants assist affiliates with projects that will take place in the future, "Best Awards" are designed to reward groups that have excelled in a particular area.

Best awards cover an entire academic year and will be given at our annual conference in June. Applications for awards are due by May 1st, 2008. The winning group will get $300.00 in addition to the award itself.

This application is for the best Service Project.
Criteria include: How many people were served? What was the "utility" per person? Examples may include: Feeding the homeless, tutoring children, raising money for AIDS research.

There are some basic requirements for all award applicants:

  • Your group must be an affiliate of the SSA.

  • Your group must have a constitution or charter.

  • Unless you are at a parochial school, your group must have official recognition by your school.

  • Your group must have a bank account in your group's name so that we can write the award check to your group.

If you do not meet one or more of these requirements, please tell us and we will be delighted to assist you and work with you.
