Introduction Wow! The SSA has been growing like a spring rosebush! We have over a dozen new affiliates since our last issue, and a lot has been happening with our groups and in the news. SSA members are getting involved with Darwin Day, Richard Dawkins, politics and legal battles, and much, much more. This just might be our longest eMpirical ever – so kick back, relax and enjoy!
 The SSA Conference is coming up fast! In less than two months we're going be at E Pluribus Unum: Reclaiming Humanist Values. This event will simultaneously be the 67th annual conference of the American Humanist Association, the 17th World Congress of the International Humanist and Ethical Union, and the 8th annual conference of the Secular Student Alliance.
