An Atheist activist for almost 20 years, Ms. Downey has been a featured guest on Philadelphia TV and radio programs, and NPR has hosted her locally and nationally. Downey is a certified Secular Humanist Celebrant conducting non-religious life affirming ceremonies as her main source of income. Her presentations usually include visuals, music, handouts, door prizes and audience participation; whenever appropriate, she will include costumes, awards, and surprises for additional fun.
