Mr. Kagin is a bedrock of Freethought activism.  He has run unsuccessfully as “the candidate without a prayer” for the Kentucky Supreme Court and for the Kentucky State Senate.  He is a frequent speaker and debater at regional and national Freethought meetings, and an outspoken public critic of attempted religious intrusions into secular life and government.  An excellent orator and strong supporter of the secular student movement, Mr. Kagin is a sought-after presenter among student groups.

Edwin has spoken on such topics as:
-ontology (existance of God)
-Biblical inerrancy
-state/church separation issues, including displays of the Ten Commandments and prayer in public schools
-morality without religion
-Creationism as a religious viewpoint and not a science
-the Bible as foundation for moral behavior
