Secular Student Alliance International Resources
The Secular Student Alliance welcomes as an affiliate any group that is student-oriented, affiliated with a school, college or university, and agrees with our minimum statement. We understand that in many cases, being able to say that you are affiliated with an international organization can be of great benefit to your group.
However, since we are based in the United States and have limited resources, we are unable to extend many of our services to our international affiliates. Please review the lists below outlining the services that are and are not available outside North America to prevent confusion about how we can support your group.
Services Available to International Groups:
The following services are available to our overseas affiliates. Currently we only offer materials in English, and we do recognize that many of our group-running documents are US-centric (though many are also applicable in any part of the world).
- Campus Organizers and hands-on assistance
- Business Cards (in those countries our printer will ship to - Click here for a list of available countries)
- Tabling Supplies (though many of our supplies are about U.S. statistics or organizations; all are in English only)
- Group Running Guide & Library
- Email and Web Forwards
- Facebook LeaderSpace
- Flyer Exchange
- Activity Packets
- Media Guide (although we cannot provide media contacts outside the U.S.)
- YouTube Channel and Audio Archives
- Travel Grants to SSA Leadership Events (capped at $400 due to limited funds)
Services Unavailable Internationally:
Regretfully, the following services are currently limited to North America.
- Group Starting Packets
- Project Grants
- Speakers Bureau
- Best Awards
- Conferences and Leadership Events (these are held only within the U.S., although limited travel grants are available to non-U.S. students)
- Media Contacts
- Branded Affiliate Program (due to service mark restrictions)
- Business Cards in certain countries (Click here for a list of available countries)
Help Us Improve!
If you or your group has developed a resource, activity packet, non-English flyers or documentation, or other materials that you feel would be helpful to other international SSA affiliates, we would love to share them. We are always happy to be able to improve our services and resources for international groups - and you can help make that happen. Contact organizer@secularstudents.org if you have a resource you would like to share.
There are several other organizations that exist to support organizations in all parts of the world. We recommend that you contact these organizations to see what support they can offer to your group.
