When Creationists "Promote" Darwin's Work

Origin Into SchoolsTo "celebrate" the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin's "Origin of Species," Living Waters Ministry is giving away hundreds of thousands of free copies of the book with a creationist introduction by Ray Comfort. The SSA has been working with the National Center for Science Education, The Brights' Net, the producers of "Flock of Dodos" and more to help you put on your own celebration.

2009 Summer Intern Reflection - Amber Scott

Amber Scott,    	 	2009 Summer       	 		 	InternAlong with Jonathan Sussman, I was one of the summer interns for the Secular Student Alliance during the summer of 2009. I chose to apply for this internship for many reasons, and was delighted to be awarded one of the available spots. By engaging with the SSA office staff as an intern I learned many things and gained a deeper appreciation of the scope and significance of the operations of the Secular Student Alliance.

Jon Adams Wins American Atheists' Chinn Scholarship

Jon    	 	AdamsCongratulations to Jon Adams of Utah State for winning the American Atheists' Chinn Scholarship. Each year, American Atheists gives three awards to atheist activists, among which are the $1,000 Chinn Scholarship for an LGBT non-theist.
