To "celebrate" the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin's "Origin of Species," Living Waters Ministry is giving away hundreds of thousands of free copies of the book with a creationist introduction by Ray Comfort. The SSA has been working with the National Center for Science Education, The Brights' Net, the producers of "Flock of Dodos" and more to help you put on your own celebration.
Along with Jonathan Sussman, I was one of the summer interns for the Secular Student Alliance during the summer of 2009. Congratulations to Jon Adams of Utah State for winning the American Atheists' Chinn Scholarship. Each year, American Atheists gives three awards to atheist activists, among which are the $1,000 Chinn Scholarship for an LGBT non-theist.

The purpose of the Freethought Film Festival Foundation is to promote critical thinking, reason and freedom of inquiry through the medium of film. In November 2010, the FFFF will screen selected film submissions which best reflect its purpose at an annual Freethought Film Festival.
