SSA to Participate in Michigan Atheists State Convention

August Brunsman IV, executive director of the Secular Student Alliance will be speaking at the Michigan Atheists State Convention on November 16.

His talk on “Sowing the Seeds of Freethought” will focus on the current state of the secular student movement in the United States. The Graduate Center of the City University of New York released the American Religious Identification Study that suggests that nonreligious worldviews are on the rise. It also suggests the concentration of the nonreligious is highest among youth. Brunsman will talk about atheists in Michigan can take advantage of this development and start secular student groups in their area.
