Meet our Executive Director in Tucson - Sunday, March 28th 10:30 a.m.
Secular Student Alliance Executive Director August Brunsman will be speaking about the SSA at the meeting of the Saddlebrooke Freethinkers at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 28th, 2010. The meeting will take place in the Coyote Room of HOA#1 Clubhouse, 64500 East Saddlebrooke Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85739-1031.Mr. Brunsman will discuss the recent explosive growth in the secular student movement, what the secular student movement is doing, and how people of all ages can support and cooperate with the student movement.
Camp Quest, Inc. Executive Director Amanda Metskas will co-present with Mr. Brunsman. She will talk about the Camp Quest network of residential summer camps for children from non-theistic homes. Camp Quest has been operating since 1996 and now has camps in Ohio, Tennessee, Michigan, California, Minnesota, Texas, Ontario and the United Kingdom.
Ms. Metskas and Mr. Brunsman will both discuss their recent participation in the first-ever delegation of non-theistic Americans to the White House. This was organized by the Secular Coalition for America--of which both the Secular Student Alliance and Camp Quest, Inc. are voting members.
