Secular Student Alliance 2010 Board Elections Open
UPDATE: New Directors announced.
The 2010 elections for the Secular Student Alliance Board of Directors runs from 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, 4/28/2010 to 12:59 p.m. on Wednesday, 5/5/2010.
Ten candidates are running for seven spots on the Secular Student Alliance Board of Directors. All Secular Student Alliance members in good standing may vote in the election. The seven candidates who receive the most votes, and at least a third of the votes cast, will be elected to two year terms on the Secular Student Alliance Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors is the highest decision making body within the SSA. It has final responsibility for setting the direction of the SSA and making sure it has the resources to achieve its goals. While not involved in day-to-day operations, the board does set policy, evaluate the executive director, and approve the annual budget. All board positions are unpaid.
To vote, members should login, and follow the link in the upper right hand corner of the website to their voting page. Once on that page, members can review the statements from all of the candidates and cast their votes.
