So the SSA has a sample constitution, but it's fairly new and untested. Do you have any war stories about particular elements of an organizational document failing you? Something that really saved your butt?  Let us know.

CASH has an awesome constitution (http://www.cashumn.org/about.php). Mike Jones put a lot of a work into it, and it's been tweaked by legalese-ist people in the past few years. I think it's done a number of good things for us, making us accountable, enabling us to deal with problematic people or situations, etc.

In fact, the CASH constitution is so good, that the SSA based large parts of the sample constitution on the CASH constitution.
