Rebecca founded Skepchick International, which exists to promote science, reason, and skepticism amongst women. The site features an online journal called Skepchick Magazine, and also offers an online forum, and blog. She is a gifted writer, speaker, and activist. Her popular Skepchicks and Skepdudes calendars profile scientists, and secular activists. All proceeds from 2006 calendar sales were applied to the attendance fee for several female applicants to attend the James Randi Educational Foundation's 2006 The Amaz!ng Meeting. Rebecca contributed to the SSA/Harvard Humanist Chaplaincy conference at Harvard by speaking on ‘The Next Generation of Humanism’ panel.
