American Atheists is offering two scholarships for Atheist activists!  The $2,000 and $1,000 scholarships are awarded every year to students who do more than their part to support Atheists, Atheist civil rights, or secular progress.  Winners also receive travel and accommodations for the next American Atheists convention. Hemant Mehta, chair of the SSA's Board of Directors, was the recipient of this scholarship in 2006.  
 
The deadline for applying is JANUARY 31, 2007, so apply today!
