Would you like to start or help start an atheist/agnostic/humanist/bright/skeptic/freethought group on a campus near you? Just fill out the form below to request a group starting packet.

But first, check to see if someone from your school is already working on starting a group or if there is already a group on your campus.

The packets themselves contain:

• A bound copy of our Group Running Guide
• 100 flyers printed on neon paper with the email address and webpage address that we create for your school on them--making it very easy for others at your school to connect with you and get your group off the ground. (See Sample Flyer)
• Thumbtacks
• Some Secular Student Alliance Brochures

The Group Starting Packet isn't just the physical packet either. In addition to the materials we send to you via mail, we do the following online:

• We create a Facebook group. So many students use facebook and it's really a great way to find other students that share your interests. As soon as you join the group, you'll be given full administrative power over it and be responsible to update and alter it yourself. The facebook has a short description of what the SSA is about, and links to the two other things we create for you: a web page and an e-mail forward. (See Sample Facebook Group)
• We create a web page on our website dedicated to your school. This site will have links to the facebook page and the e-mail address, as well as other links to pages on our site that offer information about who we are and what we can do for your group, and pages that offer advice on how to get your group and keep it running. • We create an "...@secularstudents.org" address for your group. This e-mail address won't have a mailbox you can check - it simply forwards everything sent to it to the e-mail address you use to sign up for the GSP. Everything will show up in your very own inbox (as well as SSA's staff), and you won't have to check anything additional.

These are just the bare minimum that you'll receive. From time to time we have extras such as stickers, gel bracelets, and other fun promotional materials that we like to include in the packet. The packet is free and without obligation.

However, requesting this packet is just step one on your way to becoming one of our network of 100+ campus groups worldwide. After you get your group off the ground, it would be a good idea to fill out our Affiliation Request form. Affiliating with us means that you gain access to all the benefits that we offer campus groups, such as access to our Speakers Bureau, grants, and much more.
