This article originally appeared in the SSA eMpirical No. 18 - It's Spring, We Think.

Two, two, two... count 'em: two books by Secular Student Alliance authors just came out.

I Sold My Soul on eBay The first is a solo work.  Hemant Mehta's I Sold My Soul on eBay: Viewing Faith through an Atheist's Eyes tells the story of Hemant's adventure that started with selling the right to send him to church for $504 on eBay (which he donated to the SSA--thanks, Hemant!).  Hemant is on our Speakers Bureau and would love to come to your neck of the woods to tell you about his experiences.  Hemant is also the chair of the Secular Student Alliance's Board of Directors.

Parenting Beyond BeliefParenting Beyond Belief: On Raising Ethical, Caring Kids Without Religion is a collaborative work edited by Dale McGowan (author of Calling Bernadette's Bluff). The book addresses a host of topics relevant to parents raising kids without religion including parenting in a secular/religious mixed marriage, ethical/moral education, holidays and ceremonies, and talking about death.  Executive Director August E. Brunsman IV co-authored a chapter in the book about Camp Quest with his wife, Amanda Metskas, the President of Camp Quest, Inc.  Additionally, a Venn diagram of the contributors and the SSA's Advisory Board would be nearly round.  People on both lists include: Dan Barker, Matt Cherry, Shannon Cherry, Richard Dawkins, Margaret Downey, Annie Laurie Gaylor, Bobbie Kirkhart, and Michael Shermer.  Lots of these folks are also on a Speakers Bureau.
