Introduction

SSA Humanists
We’ve been to the Secular Student Alliance/New Humanism Conference, we're back, and we’ve been busy! In this issue of the SSA eMpirical, you’ll find coverage from the New Humanism Conference, in addition to news and tools that you can use to improve your campus group and grow.

Of course, there was just too much material from the New Humanism Conference to cram into one issue (after all, it was a three-day event!), so watch for more coming in the next few issues.

The idea was to get a feel for what it’s like to be at the conference from a student’s point of view. So, now that you've read what a humanism conference is all about, you can find out what it’s like to be there!

Lyz
Elizabeth R.A. Liddell, known by pretty much everyone as Lyz, has been editor-in-chief of the SSA eMpirical since July 2006. It’s rare for her to make an appearance as a writer in the eMpirical, as she prefers to keep her presence quietly within the realms of punctuation, ghostwriting and html code.
