Greetings, ILINKY Region!
Some of you may be ready to wind down for winter break, but remember you can still have some fun events at the end of the year! Meet at a coffee shop to study for exams together, have a winter solstice celebration, even a War on Christmas party! Whatever you choose to do, be sure to post about it on the ILINKY Facebook group so others can see the things your group is doing.

If you aren't in the ILINKY Region Facebook Group, you've really been missing out! We've had two Google + Hangouts and have a third coming up this week. There is a new "resource of the week" posted every Thursday to highlight SSA resources you may have overlooked or forgotten about.
In the group you can share ideas and photos of the great things your group is doing! And if your group isn't doing so hot right now, you can ask questions and SSA affiliate group leaders who have gone through the same issue can offer sagely advice.
Plus, there's a new group for Chicago-area SSA affiliate groups! There are eight SSA groups in the Chicago area! This is a great place to share events with each other, and collaborate on larger events.
And if groups on Facebook aren't your thing, remember I'm always an email away.
The SSA offers super cheap t-shirts to students! They're great to buy individually or to get for your whole group. Our previous design is marked down to just $4.50, and the new design is $6. If you haven't used the SSA store before, check out this helpful page to get you on your way.
A fun way to personalize the shirts is to take them to a local printer and get your group name in block letters on the back of the shirt. Or you can buy iron-on block letters from a craft store and iron them on to the shirts as a group!
If you have used the SSA store before, just follow this link to go directly there.
SSA is Hiring!
Remember our Rapid Response Organizer campaign? We crowdsourced to fund a position to allow someone to travel whenever secular students need help.
The Rapid Response Organizer will reach out to students and spread their stories to others in an effort to resolve ongoing conflicts, provide the support of the community, and give the public a better understanding of the struggles and successes that secular students face.
If you or someone you know might be intersted in this position, check out the listing on secularstudents.org.
