High SchoolTroublesSubmitted by ThomasFlannery on Wed, 2007-08-29 20:57.
I'm really interested in starting a club at my high school that is dedicated to freethought, humanism, and philosophy; I just sent a request for a group starting packet. I'm a strong advocate for secularism, reason, and freethought...however, I'm a polytheist or rather an agnostic polytheist. I'm not sure how well this goes with SSA as their worldview deems theism as less reasonable.. Thanks for your message! We're here to help. You've taken the first step in requesting a Group Starting Packet. If you don't want to wait for the snail mail, you can check out our Group Running Guide (which is included in the packet) online. Help a high school teacher!Submitted by Mpromptu on Sat, 2007-06-09 21:30.
As a future high school teacher, does anyone have any advice as to what I can and cannot do to help atheist students in school? Obviously, if students wanted to start an atheist group, I could sponsor it. But are there any limitations to my involvement outside of that? (Even if those limitations may not be in writing...) Thanks! ( categories: High School )
